Wrap text around clip art

Applies to
Microsoft Office Word 2003
Microsoft Word 2002

If you use clip art and text together in your documents, it can be helpful to use the text wrapping function.

Clip art and text with no text wrapping

Consider this document with clip art and text. There is a lot of white space around and between the art and text.

With text wrapping, you can quickly and easily have clip art and text occupy even amounts of the document space.

To wrap text around clip art

  1. In your Microsoft Office Word document, click on the clip you want to wrap text around.
  2. On the Picture toolbar, click the Text Wrapping button  Text Wrapping.
  3. Click the Square button  Square.
  4. Click and drag your clip to where you want it in your document. The text will wrap itself around your clip.
Text Wrapping

Your clip art and text now complement each other well.
