Coordinate the look of your PowerPoint® 2000 table with your presentation by changing the border of the table. You can change the color of the border to match the color scheme of your slide, or change the line style or width to emphasize part of your table.
To change the border of a table
- To display the Tables and Borders toolbar, point to Toolbars on the View menu, and then click Tables and Borders.
- Do one of the following:
- To select the entire table, click on the outside border, so that no cursor appears.
- To select a row or column, highlight the area you want.
- To select a single cell, click inside the cell so that the cursor appears.
- On the Tables and Borders toolbar, click the setting you want to change.
For example, you can change the border style, width, or color.
- Click the Borders button (located between the Border Color and the Fill Color buttons), and then click the borders you want to change.
For example, you can change the inside or outside borders, inside horizontal or vertical, diagonal up or down, all or no borders, or just the top, bottom, left, or right border.
Note If you want to change the border of the whole table, it is important to make sure that the whole table is selected. If the table is selected properly, no cursor appears in the table. If a cursor does appear, the changes are only made to that cell in the table.
