You can change the look of your PowerPoint® 2000 presentation by applying different design templates. Sometimes you may want to remove or clear the template, or restore a presentation to the default PowerPoint presentation design template. This is also called the "Blank Presentation" template or "Blank Presentation.pot".
To apply the Blank Presentation.pot template
- On the Format menu, click Apply Design Template.
- In the design template list that appears, select Blank Presentation.
Note If you cannot find the "Blank Presentation.pot" template, you will have to create the default design template. For information on creating the Blank Presentation template, see the procedure listed below.
- Click Apply.
To create the Blank Presentation.pot template
Note If you already have a Blank Presentation template, this procedure will override it and you will lose your original copy. For example, some people will put their company logo or change the color scheme on the slide master of their Blank Presentation template so it appears on every slide made within their company. If you do not want to lose your previous Blank Presentation template, rename the file before using this procedure.
- On the Standard toolbar, click New.
When the New Slide dialog box comes up, click Cancel.
- On the File menu, click Save As.
- In the Save As dialog box, in the Save as type list, click Design Template.
- In the File name box, type the file name Blank Presentation.pot
- Click Save.
