Solution to: The text I typed in a form disappears when I click 'Submit'

If the text that you type in a form disappears when you click Submit, verify that your submit button is not set as a reset button.

Do the following:

Double-click the Submit button.
In the Push Button Properties dialog box, make sure that Button type is set as Submit and not Reset.
