Change the default events view on a SharePoint Team Web site

When you create a Web site based on SharePoint™ Team Services from Microsoft, the default views under Announcements, Events, and Links are set automatically. With Microsoft FrontPage® 2002, you can reset the default views to best suit your team's needs.

For example, under Events, the All Events view is automatically set as the default view, but you can easily set a different one (Today's Events, My Events, Upcoming Events, or Calendar).

To change the default view under Events

To set a new default view for Events, follow these steps:

  1. In FrontPage 2002, on the File menu, click Open Web.
  2. In the Web name text box, type in the address of your Web site and click Open.
  3. On the View menu, click Folders.
  4. In the Folder List task pane, open the Lists folder.
  5. Right-click Events, and on the shortcut menu, click Properties.
  6. In the List Properties dialog box, click the Supporting Files tab, and on the Default view page list, click one of the following:
    • Lists/Events/Today.htm for Today's Events view.
    • Lists/Events/MyItems.htm for My Events view.
    • Lists/Events/future.htm for Upcoming Events view.
    • Lists/Events/calendar.htm for Calendar view.

Note  To reset All Events as the default view, select Lists/Events/AllItems.htm.

  7. Click OK.
