Flexible formatting of hyperlinks using CSS

Microsoft FrontPage® 2002 gives you greater control over formatting hyperlinks and other text by applying Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). CSS can apply complex text formatting and intelligently interpret it within a single Web page or across your entire Web site. FrontPage takes this sophisticated technology and makes it easy to apply using WYSIWYG (WhatYouSeeIsWhatYouGet) editing.

To create a hyperlink without an underline, in Page view, open a new or existing page:

  1. Type the text for the hyperlink, select it, right-click the text, and then click Hyperlink Properties.
  2. Make the link to any page you want either on your Web site or on the Internet, and then click OK.
  3. With the hyperlink selected, click the Underline button on the toolbar to remove the underline.
  4. To test the hyperlink, hold down CTRL while you click the hyperlink (Ctrl+Click).

Tip   You can also change any part of the hyperlink format to what you would like. For example, select all or part of the link text again. On the Format menu, click Font, and then click Bold in Front style: or change the font color using the Font Color drop down list.
