Add text balloons to graphics

Applies to
Microsoft Office FrontPageĀ® 2003
Microsoft FrontPage 2002

FrontPage 2003 and 2002 provide drawing tools that you can use to create great effects on your Web site. For example, with AutoShapes you can easily put together text balloons with graphics to draw attention to important information or to add personality to your page.

Text balloon

To create a text balloon

  1. In Page view, click the Drawing icon on the Standard toolbar to display the Drawing toolbar.
  2. On the Drawing toolbar, click AutoShapes, point to Callouts, and then select a shape for your text balloon.
  3. Point to the area of your page where you want your text balloon to appear, and click to insert it. You can move the balloon after you create it, so don't worry about the exact position.
  4. Click the text balloon to select it, click the Fill Color icon on the Drawing toolbar, and select the color you want to fill the balloon with.
  5. Place the insertion point in the text area of the callout balloon, and type or paste your text.

To add a shadow to your text balloon

You can apply a shadow to your text balloon to add dimension. To add a shadow, follow these steps:

  1. Select your text balloon.
  2. Click the Shadow Style icon on the Drawing toolbar, and select a shadow style.
