Save a Web page

Do one of the following:

ShowSave a Web page to the current Web site

  • Do one of the following if you have:

ShowNot saved the page

  1. Click Save Button image.
  2. Locate and double-click the folder where you want to save the page.
  3. In the File name box, type the file name of the page, and then click Save.

ShowOpened the page from the current Web site

  • Click Save Button image.

ShowOpened the page from a location outside the current Web site

  1. On the File menu, click Save As.
  2. Locate and double-click the folder where you want to save the page.
  3. In the File name box, type the file name of the page, and then click Save.

ShowSave a Web page to a different Web site

  1. On the File menu, click Save As.
  2. Locate and click the Web site where you want to save the page.
  3. In the File name box, type the name of the page.
  4. Click Save Button image.

ShowSave a Web page to a file system

  1. On the File menu, click Save As.
  2. Locate and click the location in the file system where you want to save the page.
  3. In the File name box, type the name of the page.
  4. Click Save.

ShowSave a Web page automatically before previewing it in the browser

  1. On the File menu, point to Preview in Browser, and then click Edit Browser List.
  2. Click the Automatically save page before previewing check box.
