| Microsoft Office FrontPage® 2003 |
With FrontPage, you can add a collection of photos or other images to your Web site in the form of a photo album or catalog.
Using the Web Component command on the Insert menu in FrontPage, you can add a photo gallery that consists of thumbnail images with text captions and descriptions. By default, the thumbnail images are 100 pixels by 100 pixels in size—a little larger than 1 inch by 1 inch.
Site visitors can easily scan your collection of images in the thumbnail state. They can also click on each thumbnail image to see a full-size image.
When you create a photo gallery, you can add as many photos as you want. You can also add or remove photos any time. You can add photos from a variety of sources, including:
- Your computer or local Web site
- The World Wide Web
- The Microsoft Clip Organizer
- A scanner
- A digital camera
Photo gallery layouts
There are four types of photo gallery layouts available in FrontPage: Horizontal, Vertical, Montage, and Slideshow.
Horizontal Display thumbnails of your photos in horizontal rows, with captions beneath the images. |
Vertical Display thumbnails of your photos in columns, with captions to the right of the images. |
Montage Display thumbnails of your images in a collage-like pattern. When a site visitor rests his or her pointer over the image, caption text is displayed. |
Slideshow Display thumbnails of your images in a row that scrolls across the top. When a site visitor selects a thumbnail image, the full-size image appears below the row. |
Edit photos
After you have added the photos to your photo gallery, you can resize, rotate, flip, or crop them. You can also reset any photo to its original state.
