This article describes the formula syntax and usage of the MOD function (function: A prewritten formula that takes a value or values, performs an operation, and returns a value or values. Use functions to simplify and shorten formulas on a worksheet, especially those that perform lengthy or complex calculations.) in Microsoft Excel.
Description
Returns the remainder after number is divided by divisor. The result has the same sign as divisor.
Syntax
MOD(number, divisor)
The MOD function syntax has the following arguments (argument: A value that provides information to an action, an event, a method, a property, a function, or a procedure.):
 Number Required. The number for which you want to find the remainder.
 Divisor Required. The number by which you want to divide number.
Remarks
 If divisor is 0, MOD returns the #DIV/0! error value.
 The MOD function can be expressed in terms of the INT function:
MOD(n, d) = n  d*INT(n/d)

How do I copy an example?
