# CSC function

This article describes the formula syntax and usage of the **CSC** function (function: A prewritten formula that takes a value or values, performs an operation, and returns a value or values. ## Description

Returns the cosecant of an angle specified in radians.

## Syntax

CSC(number)

The CSC function syntax has the following arguments.

**Number**Required.

## Remarks

- The absolute value of Number must be less than 2^27.
- If Number is outside its constraints, CSC returns the #NUM! error value.
- If Number is a non-numeric value, CSC returns the #VALUE! error value.
- CSC(n) equals 1/SIN(n).
