Create a custom toolbar

You can rearrange and change toolbar buttons, menus, and menu commands by using the mouse or you can use the Rearrange Commands dialog box, which you can access by using the keyboard. Tasks that you can accomplish by using the keyboard are identified as (keyboard accessible).

  1. On the Tools menu, click Customize, and then click the Toolbars tab.
  2. Click New.
  3. In the Toolbar name box, type the name you want, and then click OK.
  4. Click the Commands tab.
  5. Do one of the following:

ShowAdd a button to the toolbar

  1. Click a category in the Categories box.
  2. Drag the command you want from the Commands box to the displayed toolbar.

  1. Click Rearrange Commands.
  2. Click Toolbar, and then click the new toolbar in the Toolbar list.
  3. Click Add.
  4. In the Categories list, click a category.
  5. In the Commands list, click the command you want.

ShowAdd a built-in menu to the toolbar

  1. In the Categories box, click Built-in Menus.
  2. Drag the menu you want from the Commands box to the displayed toolbar.

  1. Click Rearrange Commands.
  2. Click Toolbar, and then click the new toolbar in the Toolbar list.
  3. Click Add.
  4. In the Categories list, click Built-in Menus .
  5. In the Commands list, click the menu you want.
  1. When you have added all the buttons and menus you want, click Close.
