The Profitability by Customer Summary report shows the profit margins recorded for each customer over a selected time range. You can use this information to determine which of your marketing efforts are effective and which are not. You can then make adjustments to improve your profit margins.
Open the report
- On the Reports menu, point to Customers and Receivables, and then click Profitability by Customer Summary.
Report content
Default information in this report includes customer names, invoiced amounts, and costs. To view other information, such as customer groups or billed and standard costs, do the following:
- On the toolbar, click Modify Report, and then in the Modify Report pane, select the appropriate Columns options.

Change date range
To change the date range for this report, do the following:
- On the toolbar, click the arrow next to Date Range, From, or To.
