Watch this: Rearrange the columns in a table

March 4, 2008

Steven Thomas

Want to move the columns in a Microsoft Office Access table? It's easy to do by using the mouse, but it works a little bit differently depending on whether you are working in Datasheet view or in Design view. Watch these demos to see how it's done.

In Design view

Note   In Design view, columns are called fields, but in Access both terms refer to the same thing, just in different contexts. When you view fields in a datasheet, the fields show up as columns, and the records show up as rows.
