Note You cannot modify a database table by using a Web browser. You must first open the database in Access.
You can rearrange the order of columns in a table in Datasheet view (Datasheet view: A view that displays data from a table, form, query, view, or stored procedure in a row-and-column format. In Datasheet view, you can edit fields, add and delete data, and search for data.) or in Design view (Design view: A view that shows the design of these database objects: tables, queries, forms, reports, and macros. In Design view, you can create new database objects and modify the design of existing objects.). You can move a single column or a contiguous group of columns.
- Select the column that you want to move. To select more than one column, drag the pointer until you have selected the columns that you want.
- Do one of the following:
- In Datasheet view, drag the selected columns horizontally to the position that you want.
- In Design view, drag the selected columns vertically to the position that you want.
