This feature is available in the Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English (U.S.), and Japanese language versions of Microsoft Office 2003 and in the Simplified Chinese, English (U.S.), and Japanese language versions of Microsoft Office XP.
After speech recognition is installed, you can use the following voice commands in Office programs.
In addition to the commands listed in this article, in Voice Command mode you can give voice commands for just about anything you can read in an Office program. For example, if Bold is visible on the Formatting toolbar, you can bold selected text by saying "bold."
Note If you are in Voice Command mode and say "print," the file you are currently working on is sent to the printer.
To use voice commands, do the following:
- Position your microphone.
- If the microphone is not already turned on, click Microphone on the Language bar.
- On the Language bar, click Voice Command, or say "voice command."
- Say the command.
