With Microsoft Office XP, it's easier than ever to link together connected documents for your Web pages and intranet sites. The keyboard shortcut CTRL+K and the Insert Hyperlink dialog box make it easy for you to find links to files in the Web pages you're working on, or switch to another open Web page without leaving the program you're using.
To open the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, you can either press CTRL+K on your keyboard, or click Hyperlink on the Insert menu. Then you can edit the text that will be displayed in the link, select the type of document that you will link to, or specify the file location or target URL for the link.
To insert a hyperlink with a keyboard shortcut
- Select the text, graphic, or object you want to link.
- Press CTRL+K on the keyboard.
- In the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, select the options you'd like to use for the link, and click OK.
