What you need to know before contacting Support
Before you contact Support, have the following information ready:
- Which version of Office you are using. You can determine this by opening an Office application, clicking the Help menu, and selecting the About option. If you have Office 2007, this information is in the Options menu when you click the Office logo on the top left of the screen.
- Product identification number or product key.Find out more here.
- Which operating system (OS) you have. To find out which OS you have, click the Start button then right click on My Computer. If you have Windows Vista, there will be a Windows button on the lower left side of your desktop. Click the button, right click Computer, and select Properties to confirm your OS.
- If your product was already installed on your machine when you purchased it, you need to contact your computer manufacturer to see if no-charge support is available to you. Find manufacturer's numbers here.

- The date you placed your first support request
