Sign in to Outlook Web App

You can use Outlook Web App to access your Office 365 for business or other Microsoft Exchange-based email account via a web browser. The web address you’ll use to sign in to Outlook Web App depends on the type of account you have.

 Note    Outlook Web App is the web browser version of Outlook that is used by businesses and organizations. Outlook Web App can only be used to access Office 365 for business and other accounts that are hosted on a server that's running Microsoft Exchange Server 2013. Outlook.com (formerly Hotmail) is a modern email service that provides free email for personal use. How do I to sign in to Outlook Web App?

  1. Open your web browser or, if it's already open, open a new window.
  2. Go to the sign in page that matches the type of account you have.
Account Type Sign in information
Microsoft Office 365 for business (Office 365 Small Business, Office 365 Midsize Business, Office 365 Enterprise) Cloud-based Go to the Office 365 sign-in page.
Microsoft Live@edu Cloud-based Go to http://outlook.com.
Corporate email account On-premises (Microsoft Exchange Server) Go to the web address provided by the person who manages your email account. For example, a company named Contoso might use a URL such as https://mail.contoso.com.

 Note    If you have a Live@edu account, you may also be able to access your email through a customized URL created by the person who manages your email account.

  1. Enter the full email address for your account.
  2. Enter your password.
  3. Click Sign in.
  4. After you sign in, if you are using Office 365 for business, select Outlook at the top of the page. If you are using corporate email, select Mail at the top of the page.
