Save an envelope by adding it to a document.
Now simply click Print in the Envelopes and Labels dialog box and your envelope will be printed on your default printer. If, however, you want to print to another printer, tell Word which printer you are going to use in the Print dialog box (File menu).
If you've put some effort into creating a great envelope, or simply want to keep it for another time, you might want to save it.
To save the envelope layout and addresses, you have to "add" the envelope to your document. Just click the Add to Document button and the envelope details are saved as page 0 of the document. Page 0 is used so that if your document has page numbers, including the envelope will not disrupt the page numbering.
But what if I just want to save an envelope without a letter attached? Easy: just attach your letter to a blank document, then save and name the document as usual.
Note If you want to add a graphic to your envelope, you must first click the Add to Document button to go to the envelope section of the document; then you can insert a graphic as you normally would. For more information, see the Quick Reference Card at the end of this course.
