Skip line numbers for specific paragraphs

Switch to
print layout view
(print layout view: A view of a document or other object as it will appear when you print it. For example, items such as headers, footnotes, columns, and text boxes appear in their actual positions.)

Select the paragraphs for which you want to skip line numbers.
On the
Format
menu, click
Paragraph
, and then click the
Line and Page Breaks
tab.
Select the
Suppress line numbers
check box.
