1. Switch to print layout view (print layout view: A view of a document or other object as it will appear when you print it. For example, items such as headers, footnotes, columns, and text boxes appear in their actual positions.).
2. If your document is divided into sections (section: A portion of a document in which you set certain page formatting options. You create a new section when you want to change such properties as line numbering, number of columns, or headers and footers.), click in the section you want to change.
3. Drag the column markers on the horizontal ruler (horizontal ruler: A bar marked off in units of measure (such as inches) that is displayed across the top of the document window.).

   

   Left Indent

   Right Indent

   Move Column Marker

Note  To specify exact measurements for column widths and spacing, use the Columns command on the Format menu.
