You can start the Drawing Monitor to synchronize a drawing that represents a database table with the database.

1. On the Tools menu, point to Add-Ons, then point to Visio Extras, and then click Database Wizard.
2. On the first wizard page, click Next.
3. Click Create a linked drawing or modify an existing one, and then click Next.
4. Click Open an existing database drawing, and then click Next.
5. Follow the remaining wizard pages until you start the Drawing Monitor.

Changes you make to shapes are reflected in the database table.

6. If you want, change settings that control how the Drawing Monitor contacts the database.

How

1. On the Tools menu, point to Add-Ons, point to Visio Extras, and then click Database Settings.
2. Choose the number of retries, retry interval, or time-out interval you want.
3. To set a global refresh interval, select Automatically refresh drawing page, and then type the number of seconds in the interval.
4. Click Save.
