Resize a drawing page in a Visio 2002 diagram

You may want to resize a drawing page when one of the following situations occurs:

  • Your diagram is large and extends beyond the drawing page. (Content that falls outside of drawing page borders does not print.)

  • Your diagram is small, and you want to control where it falls on the page when you print it.

To resize a drawing page to fit the diagram

  1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
  2. On the Page Size tab, click Size to fit drawing contents, and then click OK.

Note   When you print a large diagram after resizing the drawing page, the diagram may print across several pages.

To control where a small diagram prints

  1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
  2. On the Page Size tab, click Size to fit drawing contents.
  3. On the Print Setup tab, click Setup.
  4. Under Small drawings, click Center horizontally, Center vertically, or both.
  5. Under Margins, type the margin settings you want, and then click OK.
  6. In the Page Setup dialog box, click OK.
  7. To see where the diagram will be positioned on the printed page, on the File menu, click Print Preview.

To resize a page directly in the drawing window

  1. Position the Pointer tool Pointer tool at the edge of the page and hold down the CTRL key. When the Pointer tool changes to a two-headed arrowTwo-headed arrow, drag the page edge to where you want it.

  2. To see where the diagram will be positioned on the printed page, on the File menu, click Print Preview.
