You can move text in a shape to any position within or outside the shape. Use the Text Block tool to move text in a shape.

1. On the Standard toolbar, click the Text Block tool.
2. Click the shape that contains the text that you want to move.

   The text appears as a block with green handles around it.

3. Drag the text to its new location.

With the Text Block tool selected, when you place the mouse pointer over shape text, the pointer becomes a double rectangle, which indicates that you can drag the text to a new location.

Tip  Some shapes, such as network shapes, have control handles that you can drag to reposition text.
