Supported data sources.
Because the data you import is external to Visio, it must be stored in a source that Visio can understand. The data sources you can use are:
- Microsoft Office Excel workbooks
- Microsoft Office Access databases
- Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services lists
- Microsoft SQL Server databases
- OLEDB or ODBC data sources
