Outlook and RSS: Internet information delivered to your Mailbox

Menu after right-click on folder for one RSS Feed showing command to delete that Feed

Tastes and interests change. If the articles that an RSS Feed delivers lose their appeal for you, you'll be glad to know that removing a Feed from Outlook is simple.

The easiest way to remove a Feed is to right-click its folder and click Delete as we’ve shown in the picture. This method will delete the folder and all of the articles it contains. This method will also end Outlook’s subscription to the RSS Feed.

On the other hand, if your aim is simply to stop getting new items (that is, if you want to keep the folder and its contents but stop any new deliveries), you can use the Account Settings dialog box to stop your subscription. We'll show you that method in the practice at the end of this lesson (and it's also in the Quick Reference Card at the end of this course).
