A data bar callout and its dialog box.
Here is a simple example of a data bar on a server shape and how it relates to its dialog box when you create it from scratch.
Data bars are good at showing amounts. And an important thing to know about how they work is that they need a minimum value and a maximum value. The minimum value is for the start, or base, of the bar. The maximum value is for the end of the bar. In this example, it's possible that our servers could receive an upgrade of up to 3 gigabytes (or, 3,072 megabytes). So we'll type 3072 as the Maximum Value and 0 as the Minimum Value. Your particular minimum and maximum will vary depending on your data.
