There is space between the top margin of the page and the first object below the top margin. This may be intentional, but the Design Checker notes any empty space below the top margin. If this is not fixed, print quality will not be affected.
Move the object
To remove space between the top margin and the first object below the top margin, move the object. You can move an object or a group of objects by dragging it, nudging it, or using measurements to position it on the page.
Drag the object to a new
position
- Position the mouse pointer over the object until the pointer
changes to the
Move pointer
.
- Drag the object to the new position. To drag the object in a
straight line, hold down SHIFT while you drag the object.
Note If one of the
Snap commands is turned on, the object
might snap to the nearest guide (guides: Nonprinting lines that are used to position objects precisely. Types of guides include margin guides, column guides, row guides, and ruler guides.), object, or ruler mark
when you release the mouse
button.
Nudge the object
Position the object precisely on the
page
- Right-click the object, and then click Format object type on the shortcut menu.
- On the Layout tab, under
Position on page, enter the
positive measurements for the horizontal and vertical placement of the object
or group of objects.
