Hiding a connector

The process of hiding a connector.
Callout 1 Select the connector (the red end points and yellow adjustment handles show that it's selected).
Callout 2 Right-click the connector, and click Format AutoShape from the shortcut menu.
Callout 3 In the Color list in the dialog box, select No Line.

It's nice the connector travels with the shape, but, after you move a shape, the connector might not look the way you want it to. If this is the case, you must hide the connector and create another one. (If you delete the connector, the shape is also deleted.)

You hide the connector by clicking No Line in the Format AutoShape dialog box (see the picture).

Then use the AutoShapes menu on the Drawing toolbar to add a new connector. You'll see how this is done in the next section.
