Synchronize when there's less network traffic

Applies to
Microsoft Outlook® 2000

You can speed up the synchronization process by synchronizing offline folders when network traffic is low. You can do this manually, but it's easier to schedule synchronizations that Outlook 2000 performs automatically in the background, either while you work or when you're away from your computer.

Schedule automatic synchronization of offline folders

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Services tab.
  2. Select the Enable offline access check box.
  3. Select the When offline, automatically synchronize check box. Select a group of folders to synchronize and a time interval.
