Turn the Paste Options button on or off

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. In the Category list, click Editing, and then select or clear the Show Paste Options button check box.

Note  If you disable the Paste Options button Button image, the previously selected setting for Set as Default Paste remains in effect. For example, if you previously selected the Keep Text only option as the default paste option, all content that you paste into OneNote after disabling the Paste Options button will be pasted as plain text. To change the default setting, temporarily enable the Paste Options button, change the Set as Default Paste option from the button's shortcut menu, and then disable the button again.
