Move a folder
 

Note  The feature or functionality described in this topic is available only if you have installed Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1. To learn more about the service pack and how to download it, see Service pack features in OneNote 2003.

  1. Right-click the tab of the folder that you want to move, and then click Move on the shortcut menu.
  2. In the Move Folder To dialog box, do one of the following:
    • To move the folder so that it appears after another folder, click (move to this location) under the folder that you want to immediately precede the folder that you are moving.

      Note  This option is only available if you have more than one folder in your notebook.

    • To move the folder so that it appears after a section, click the section.
    • To move the folder into another folder, click the folder that you want to add the folder to.
  3. Click Move.

ShowTip

When moving folders, you can also choose to create a new folder, if the existing folders don't meet your needs. To create a new folder when moving a folder, do the following:
  1. In the Move Folder To dialog box, click Create New Folder.
  2. Type a name for the new folder, and then click OK.
  3. In the Move Folder To dialog box, click the folder that you want to move the folder to, and then click Move.
