Do any of the following:
Delete a section from your notebook
- Right-click the tab of the section you want to delete, and then click Delete on the shortcut menu.
Note The deleted section is sent to the Recycle Bin on your computer. You cannot undo this action, although you may be able to recover deleted files from the Recycle Bin. However, if the Recycle Bin is unable to store items— for example, its maximum storage size is set to 0 percent— you will not be able to restore items from it.
Delete a page from a section
- Right-click the tab of the page you want to delete, and then click Delete on the shortcut menu.
Note Deleted pages are sent to the Deleted Pages folder, which is available in the drop-down menu next to the section tabs. By default, the Deleted Pages folder is emptied when you close Microsoft Office OneNote 2003. To change how often the folder is emptied, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then in the Category list, click Editing.
Tips
- To delete a page permanently, so that it is not sent to the Deleted Pages folder, press CTRL+DELETE.
- To undo deleting a page, press CTRL+Z.
Delete text and graphics from a page
- Click the top edge of a note container to select it, or select a graphic in a note container, and then press DELETE.
Delete linked audio or video
- Place the insertion point in the paragraph that contains the linked audio or video that you want to delete.
- On the Tools menu, point to Audio and Video Recording, and then click Delete Recording.
Note The deleted audio or video file is moved to the Recycle Bin on your computer. You can restore the file to its original folder, but you cannot restore the link between your notes and the recording, and you cannot play back the recording within OneNote.
Note Some of the features or functionality described in this topic are available only if you have installed Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1. To learn more about the service pack and how to download it, see Service pack features in OneNote 2003.
