Hide or display the Paste Options button

By default, Excel displays a Paste Options button on the worksheet to provide you with special options, such as Keep Source Formatting and Match Destination Formatting, when you paste cells. If you don't want to display this button every time you paste cells, you can turn this option off.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. On the Edit tab, clear or select the Show Paste Options buttons check box to hide or display the Show Paste Options button on the worksheet.
