You can undo and redo up to 16 actions in Microsoft Excel. You can repeat actions as many times as you want.

To undo an action, do one or more of the following:

- Some actions can't be undone, such as clicking any command on the File menu. If you can't undo an action, the Undo command changes to Can't Undo.
- Macros can clear all items from the undo list.

Redo actions that you undid
To redo an action that you undid, do one of the following:
- Click Redo on the Edit menu.
- Press CTRL+Y.
- Click Redo
on the Standard toolbar. - To redo several actions at once, click the arrow next to Redo
, select the actions in the list that you want to redo, and then click the list.
Note When you redo all the actions that were undone, the Redo command changes to Repeat.

Repeat the last action
- To repeat the last action, click Repeat on the Edit menu, or press CTRL+Y.
Note Some actions, such as using a function in a cell, cannot be repeated. If you can't repeat the last action, the Repeat command changes to Can't Repeat.
