Removing the add-in from Outlook
More than a few steps are required to remove the Project Professional add-in from your computer. If you only remove it from the Add or Remove Programs option in the Control Panel, you will find that some of the Project Professional add-in elements are still visible in Outlook, such as the Project Web Access toolbar.
To completely remove the add-in, here’s a quick checklist of steps to follow:
- From Control Panel, select Add or Remove Programs, and remove the Microsoft Office Project Add-in for Outlook.
- In Outlook, on the Tools menu, click Customize. On the Toolbars tab, select Project Web Access, and then click Delete.
- Delete the custom form in Outlook that creates the Project Web Access tab in your Project Professional task. From Outlook, on the Tools menu, click Options. On the Other tab under the General section, click Advanced Options, click Custom Forms, and then click Manage Forms. In the Forms Manager dialog box, select Project Web Access Appointment, and then click Delete. This step is optional because the Other tab only appears when you open a Project Professional task assignment.
- Delete all Project Professional tasks from the Calendar. The quickest way to do this is as follows: In a current view of all Active Project-Related Appointments, select all appointments, and then press the DELETE key. This step is optional. For example, you may want to keep a record of work done in the past six months.
