Microsoft FrontPage® 2002 provides PowerPoint-like drawing tools including AutoShapes and Word Art to create great effects for your web site. You can use 3-D effects including 3-D lighting to add even more interest to your pages. To find out how to create AutoShapes and Word Art, see Help.
To add or change a 3-D lighting effect, open an existing page in FrontPage 2002 and do the following:
- In Page view, select the AutoShape or Word Art you want to change.
- On the Drawing toolbar, click the 3-D icon.
- To add a 3-D effect, click the option you want.
- Next, to change the 3-D lighting effect, display the 3-D Settings toolbar by clicking the 3-D icon again and selecting 3-D Settings….
- Click the blue lighting icon on the 3-D Settings toolbar, select the light source, and click on the brightness option you want.
Note To add the same 3-D lighting effect to several objects at one time, select or group the objects before you add the effect. This will create a more realistic effect.
- Save the page.

Tip Some complex AutoShapes do not allow the application of 3-D effects in general such as certain block arrows, flowchart symbols, stars and banners. Many of these shapes already have a 3-D appearance. 3-D effects options will be ghosted when one of these shapes is selected. Three such shapes are pictured below:
