Office Communicator 2007 is for anyone who needs to communicate with other people in real time, using a variety of different communication methods including instant messaging (IM), voice, and video.

Office Communicator 2007 will help you communicate with other people in real time, directly from the other programs you are used to using. Use Office Communicator 2007 to:

• Connect with people inside and outside of your organization.
• Use various methods of communication from one easy-to-use interface.
• Find people, see information about their availability, and communicate with them instantly using the most appropriate method.

Office Communicator 2007 is available through Microsoft Volume Licensing and can be acquired in two ways: standalone product or as part of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 or Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007.

Office Communicator 2007 will be available for download from the Microsoft Volume Licensing site (MVLS) and will be included in Volume Licensing media kit shipments.

Customers with expired EA agreements that are entitled to Office Communicator 2007 can request a copy of the media through their reseller. There will be a small charge to cover the cost of the media.

There are two ways for Open License customers to obtain Office Communicator 2007. Open License customers can either order the media as they have done historically or, starting in late 2007, they can download the software.

Office Communications Server 2007 server and CAL licenses are required to access Communicator Web Access and Communicator Mobile.
