Is there a limit to the number of versions you can store in a library? In most cases, no. But be aware that the people in charge of your site can set limits if they want to save disk space on the site. When you reach such a limit, the oldest drafts get deleted first. This is often not a concern. Documents often become better and better as they progress, so the oldest versions become less valuable. But if you're concerned about saving every single past version, ask the person who set up your library to tell you the number of versions that are being stored. And, if necessary, discard the checkout by using the Discard Check Out feature if you decide you don't need to store a certain version you are working on. Discard Check Out is explained in the Quick Reference Card at the end of this course.
