When you embed, link, or paste a drawing into a publication, Publisher places it in the middle of the current page inside a picture frame. To resize the drawing while maintaining its original proportions, press SHIFT (or CTRL, if you want to maintain proportions and keep the center in the same place) and then drag one of the round corner handles on the frame.
After you embed or link a drawing, or paste it as a picture in your publication, the first thing you need to do is reposition and resize it.
You might also want to crop the drawing. Cropping lets you hide parts of the drawing that you don't want to display.
When you click the Crop tool on the Picture toolbar, black cropping handles appear around the drawing. Drag a handle to hide unwanted content.
Tip Pressing the CTRL key while you drag a side or corner cropping handle lets you crop evenly on two or on all four sides of the drawing.
