Excel data in a SharePoint list.
Why export Excel data to a SharePoint site instead of sharing data by using e-mail, or by putting data on a network folder somewhere? Your SharePoint site is a shared location on the Web, where those who have the permissions to do so can access data by using a Web browser.
In the picture is a SharePoint list (think of the list as a Web-based table). A group of employees have agreed to give lunch-hour training presentations. Richard has already given you the date and title for his presentation. Now you need everyone else on the list to do the same. Because this is a SharePoint list, each employee can add his or her data whenever it's convenient. There's no waiting while someone else works on the list.
