Tables II: Use tables to simplify complex page layouts

Callout 1 To create the nested table that you see in the lower-left cell of this host table, start by clicking in that cell.
Callout 2 Then, click the Insert Table button on the Standard toolbar to insert a table just as you would in the body of the document.

To create a nested table, simply click in a cell of the host table and insert a new table just as you would in the body of a document.

As when creating any table, for the most efficient, precise results use the Insert Table command on the Table menu or the Insert Table button on the Standard or Tables and Borders toolbars.
