Format your document with styles

The Organizer, in which you copy styles between templates

To copy a style from a template or document to another template or document:
Callout 1 Select the template or document you want to copy the style from.
Callout 2 Select the template or document you want to copy the style to.
Callout 3 Select the style you want to copy.
Callout 4 Click Copy.

So you know how to modify and create styles, and save those changes to a template. But what about sharing styles between templates, or between templates and documents? You can do all of the above—making your styles that much more useful.

You do all this using the Organizer, opened from the Templates and Add-Ins dialog box. This is the ideal place to copy styles between templates, rename them, or delete them from a template.

You saw the Organizer briefly in the practice for Lesson 2, and you'll make another foray there in the upcoming practice.
