Have some pictures that you want to send to a friend or insert into a document, but they are a bit too large? Resizing a picture can help reduce the file size and make the picture easier to fit in a document or send faster in a Microsoft Office Outlook message.
Note Images are resized in Picture Manager are resized in pixels, which enables you to quickly resize the images that you send to other people online, or store on your computer. To control how pictures are resized in inches, however, you will need to use an image editing program that is optimized for print, or insert your image into Word, or another program that will enable you to control how a picture is displayed, in inches.
