A copy of the connected SharePoint calendar is available even when you're offline.
If you travel for work and you take your computer with you, you may be wondering: Will I be able to use the SharePoint calendar even when I'm not connected to my company's network? The answer is yes.
When you connect the SharePoint calendar to Outlook, a copy of that calendar is created on your own computer. When you disconnect from your company's network, that copy of the calendar is still available to you, and you can continue to use it even though you're offline. When you reconnect, the two versions of the calendar will be synchronized. We'll talk a bit more about synchronization next.
