See how easy it is to use workflows in Office SharePoint Server 2007

My name is Tom, and I write for Office Online. Recently, I tried out workflows in Office SharePoint Server 2007. Workflows are a powerful feature and surprisingly easy to use. There are several types of workflows you can choose from, such as the Approval workflow, the Collect Feedback workflow, and the Collect Signatures workflow. Each one is highly customizable, and if you can't get it to do what you want, you can always create your own custom workflow.

For this demo I chose a relatively simple workflow, an approval workflow. I use this workflow to get a document approved before sending it out to the rest of the company.

You can use workflows to manage business processes or any series of tasks that need to be performed to accomplish a goal. For example, businesses use workflows to manage everything from the hiring process to expense reporting.
