SharePoint slide libraries II: Use slides in the library

Animation that shows how to check for slide updates in the library.

Meanwhile, you're still working on your presentation about the company's organization and history. How do you know that Amy has updated the slide you used?

There are a couple of ways. One is, you can check for updates whenever you have the presentation open in PowerPoint. You do this by using the Check for Updates command. Also, PowerPoint will prompt you, each time you open the presentation, to check for updates to the slide-library slides. (Remember, PowerPoint does this because you selected the option Tell me when this slide changes when you copied the slides from the library.)

If updates have been made to the original slide in the library, PowerPoint will show you the latest slide against your current slide and ask if you want to replace your slide. Click Play to see an animation showing this.

Note    If you have several slides in your show that you want to check, PowerPoint will cycle through the updated slides against your slides, one pair at a time.
