You can give someone delegate access only to some or all of the following folders: Calendar, Tasks, Inbox, Contacts, Notes, and Journal.
If you wanted someone to see subfolders of those folders, or to see other folders in your mailbox, you would need to share your entire mailbox with that person.
This would be the only way, for example, to let someone else see your Sent Items or Deleted Items folder, or multiple calendars if you have them. If you shared your entire mailbox, the person you shared it with could see Outlook exactly as you do, subfolders and all—except for exceptions. To learn about those, read on.
