Disable pop-up blockers for Lync Web App

Pop-up blockers must be disabled for Microsoft Lync Web App communications software to work correctly. To disable pop-up blocking, follow the procedure below for your browser or tool .

Note:  Some computer security programs and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) also provide pop-up blocking. Refer to their documentation for instructions on disabling pop-up blocking.

Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. Click Tools, click Pop-up Blocker, and then click Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.

Safari

  1. Open Safari.

  2. On the Safari menu, clear the Block Pop-Up Windows check box.

Yahoo! Toolbar

  1. Open Yahoo.

  2. On the Pop-up Blocker menu, clear the Enable Pop-up Blocker check box.

Google Toolbar

To disable pop-up blocking on the Google Toolbar and use Lync Web App, you must close the toolbar. It is not sufficient to just turn off the pop-up blocker.

  • Right-click the toolbar, and then clear the Google check box.

MSN Toolbar

  • Click the down arrow next to Pop-Ups Blocked, and then click Allow Pop-ups.

  • Click the pop-up blocker icon so that it says Allowed.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. Click Tools, and then click Options.

  3. At the top of the options window, click Content.

  4. Clear the Block Pop-up windows check box.

  5. Click OK.

Pop-Up Stopper

  1. In the notifications area, right-click the Pop-Up Stopper icon.

  2. Clear the Block pop-up ad windows check box.

PopUpCop

  1. In a browser window, click the down arrow on the PopUpCop toolbar.

  2. Click Disable PopUpCop.
